Sony's Mark Cerny just announced the PlayStation 5 Pro, which boasts a faster GPU, improved ray-tracing, and support for PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution. (PSSR is PlayStation's upscaling equivalent of NVIDIA's DLSS or AMD's FSR). Sony's goal with the PS5 Pro is to essentially combine the Fidelity Mode / Performance Mode options in many games to provide the higher fidelity along with a 60 frames per second experience.
The PS5 Pro is digital only (no disc drive) and priced at $700. Preorders start September 26 with release scheduled for November 7. Buy Now at PlayStation
